Space North East partnered with University College London (UCL) to explore new approaches to improving men’s mental health in the region. Together, they co-authored a groundbreaking report titled “The Importance of Community-Led, Non-Clinical Mental Health Interventions for Men in the North East.”

The report highlights how grassroots, community-based initiatives, like those delivered by Space North East, play a crucial role in reaching men who may not engage with traditional clinical services. By combining UCL’s research expertise with Space North East’s on-the-ground experience, the partnership showcases how practical, relatable, and community-driven interventions can change lives and strengthen the future of men’s mental health support in the North East.
